In 1969 marks the launch of EGLO's success: Ludwig Obwieser launches "EGLO Leuchten". In 1976, the commissioning of its first production plant in Pill in Tyrol / Austria was another cornerstone.

In the mid-1980s, EGLO established itself as one of Europe's leading lighting manufacturers. The company pushed expansion into new markets, and in 1986 the first sales company was founded in Germany as the first stepping stone on the road to EGLO's internationalization. Due to the constant development of new markets, there are currently more than 50 global sales companies, all of which are largely autonomous in their market operations.

Today EGLO is one of the world's leading suppliers of decorative lighting solutions for residential use. This success is the best proof of customer satisfaction and we have every reason to be proud of it.

In recent years EGLO Group has become one of the leading manufacturers of decorative interior lighting. Meanwhile, the company has become a major player on the world market: more than 18 million luminaires were marketed in more than 132 countries across the continent this year.

Since around 90% of the product range has been developed by us, EGLO guarantees the greatest possible independence in the implementation of new product solutions and we are extremely competitive due to the high quality of our production facilities in Hungary, China and India.
